Sloan received her juris doctor from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where she received two Excellence for the Future Awards in recognition of earning the highest grade in Legal Writing and Sexual Harassment Law. In law school, Sloan served as the symposium editor of the Indiana Law Review and as a legal writing tutor in the Dean’s Tutorial Society program. Sloan also served as a mentor in the federal Second Chance Re-Entry and Assistance Program in the Southern District of Indiana, where she mentored and represented formerly incarcerated individuals as they faced challenges related to re-entry and post-release employment. Sloan also gained valuable experience while serving as a research assistant to Professor Lahny H. Silva and as an extern to the Honorable Steven H. David of the Indiana Supreme Court.

Prior to law school, Sloan received her Bachelor of Arts from Florida State University, where she was a Florida Bright Futures Scholar. Sloan spent nine years in Los Angeles and New York City supporting start-up non-profit organizations and pro-social companies in human resources and talent management strategy roles with a focus on data analysis. Sloan has worked with organizations of all sizes to develop diversity, equity and inclusion-focused strategic planning tools and implementation strategies. She brings a human-centered approach to her work and to the practice of law.

Sloan was a summer clerk with Ice Miller in 2018 and 2019 before joining as an associate in 2020.
